I got my first camera when I was about 13 years old, It was a small compact Agfamatic Colour King 100. It took 110 film abd I took exceedingly poor snapshotss due to lack of skill and ability. Ten years or so later I bought a very cheap point and shoot Hanimex 35mm to take on a trip round Europe interrailing, still however taking snapshots,
I got my first digital camera when my first daughter was born, it was a 2.1 megapixel Sony Cybershot. With a digital camera I wa able to greatly improve my photography. Being able to instantly see the picture I had taken on the back of the camera allowed to make mistakes and learn from them.
Since then I have had one two upgrades and now a sony A77ii DSLR
